Brazed Fat Tire Fixed Gear (or a short wheelbase 29er)
Here are some pictures of a project I have been planing for the last few months. My father and I started the work on tuesday and hope to finish up tomorrow.

interesting fixturing -- I like it. I'll be interested in knowing how that seat tube/down tube joint holds up. It looks like the cleanup might have been a little heavy-handed. You really don't want to cut into the tubes at all.
|
that st/dt joint is actually really solid, possibly still bulky. that last pic its just covered in a film of flux and afterburn from the chainstays
|
not talking about the brazing, that looks ok.
I see what the confusion is on my previous post. The heavy-handed cleanup I was talking about was the downtube/head tube joint. |
The plywood angle plate looks like a good idea. Top tube is pierced by the seat tube? Cool! Don`t think I`ve seen that one before.

14 bike co does pierced seat tubes on their freestyle fixed bikes |

Looking good! You painted it yourself, too? And it`s going to stay single speed? I can`t tell for sure, but in one of your earlier pics (bike leaning against a toolbox with no seat stays yet) it looks like a derailler hanger.
