Anyone have experience of dealing with Asian frame manufacturers?

I'm representing a new bicycle manufacturer and we're currently looking for frame manufacturer in Asia, probably in Taiwan. Would be nice to hear any experience from people who have ordered frames or parts from Asia.
Any tips what should be considered before ordering a large amount of frames?
Should you have an agent there for quality control?

Most firms send someone over to inspect each batch during production if not an asian based full-time employee. There are several people on the industry who do only what you describe. I assume you are going to next month?

Many brands trust the manufacturers so little they bring their own machined parts and personally supervise production on high quality products. You must at least specify everything you want, don't assume anything.
