First Build!

Long time reader, first time poster. I see most folks post pics of thier first build so thought I would share a couple of pics.

After reading Scoopers post from a while back I decided to bite the bullet and take Tim Sanner's workshop and built this frame. It was SO much fun.

My frame came out a bit messier than my fellow workshop mate because he used silver and I insisted on using brass in the lugs because Tim said it was much more difficult. In fact he urged me against it, but I can't refuse a challange. Well he wasn't kidding, but with a little cleanup it looks pretty good for #1

Thanks for all the good reading in here guys!

I will post more after it gets painted, should look nicer.

I envy you, I have to do a really short and maybe easy repair and I'm still afraid of at least trying.

Very nice, especially for number one! Tim's a good guy.

Excellent first effort.
Get some paint on it and ride it!

If you are in DC area , fix one of my frames and I'll paint yours as a trade :)

The decisions! Chrome the frame, then paint, leaving the rear end and lugs chrome? Just do a simple powder coat? Painted lugs? This is tough!

TRUST me that would not be a fair trade! Tim stood over my shoulder and walked me through all of the brazing. I think if I tried to fix your frame on my own I would end up owing you a new frame :P

Nice work! I would skip the chrome and get a $50.00 powder job and go ride the hell out it.
