Walmart Frames

Hey guys!

I don't really make it' round this neck of the woods too often, but I have a question, that I think you guys will be more qualified to answer. Here goes:

Compared to noteworthy and reputable bicycle manufacturing companies, how would you rate the bicycles frames that are purchased at Walmart ?

- Slim :)

PS.

We already know that these bikes have componentry problems. Either the parts are too cheap or they're improperly installed.

they are appropriately heavy given their poor construction. There probably have been exceptions, but the cheap bikes I've been familiar with rarely had problems with their frames because they were so overbuilt. It's interesting to see mass production methods applied to framebuilding. Just as an example, a lot of the frames are spot welded together. I have a friend with a relatively recent Varsity, and that frame is amazingly heavy given that it's aluminum. They don't mess around.

Thank you Mr. Unterhausen,

I sort of suspected something like that, I just wasn't sure...

Thanks Again,

- Slim :)
