6102:1 Cromo?
 

Anyone have any info on this type of steel? I need to weld a rear disk tab on and need the right info to match the tab.

It's off an old gary fisher tassajara.

Are you sure it's steel?

The Tassajaras I've seen on the webz all have 6061 T6 aluminum or 7005 aluminum frames.

Definately Cro-Moly Steel. Says so on the sticker, above the 6102:1. It's an earlier model, either from 1990 or the early 90's

Highly doubt the "6102:1" is any reference to the alloy steel used in the frame construction. At any rate you could use most any steel from 1018 to 4130 for the disc tab. It will join to the steel stays using bronze brazing or tig. Some will say that there's a need for bracing betwen the stays- up to you.

The early 90s Tassajaras were straight gauge 4130 chromoly. As reddog3 says, the 6102:1 most likely refers to something else besides the steel alloy.

The bike is British, or for sale in the British market and 6102 is the British Standard governing bicycle frames. It makes no reference to individual alloys. The sticker's just a bodge informing the owner both that at least one tube is made of likely 4130, and that the whole frame emets the standard.
