Frame 2
11 Attachment(s)
I just finished my second frame a few weeks ago and thought I'd share the finished product with you guys. I tried rolling a lot of the things I learned/wanted to change from frame one to this build. The bike is for a friend of mine and he gave me pretty specific geometry to work with. I spent much much more time focusing on my miters and fillet at the bottom bracket and I wanted to try a different seat stay treatment. All in all, I think it turned out pretty cool. I mocked the paint scheme up after a car we had in our shop. Any feedback would be appreciated.
I still have a zillion ideas for more builds. My next build is going to be a TT bike that I'll work in collaboration with a friend who is racing Ironman this year. Next order of business is going to be a fixture. Ive read about a million threads throughout the network of frame building sites (here, vsalon, mtbr, google group, etc) and think that I would benefit from it. http://bikeforums.net/attachment.php...hmentid=325837http://bikeforums.net/attachment.php...hmentid=325838http://bikeforums.net/attachment.php...hmentid=325839 |
That is a sweet build! Pics with the Porsche are cool. Large frame, whats the size and rider height? I can't tell, powder or paint, and who did it for you, auto related?
"I still have a zillion ideas for more builds." Ain't it the truth! thanks, Brian |
Thanks Brian, the frame's geometry was based off of a 58cm Cervelo R5. My friend works in a high end triathlon shop and really liked the fit of that bike. I'd say he is 6-1ish. It's normal paint...whatever was left over in the gun after squirting the Porsche.

Hotness!
Just out of curiosity, has the disease taken hold? Have you started shopping for parts for 3? |
