What type of carbon?

I'm always looking for a new project and I thought trying to guild a carbon frame would be fun. I haven't been able to fine anything online that says specific type of carbon cloth used. Does anybody have any experience with this? I'm having trouble figuring out the differences between cloth weights and directions.

Plenty of diy descriptions out there with info on what the bulider used.
Unidirectional lets you follow load paths and a patterned outer layer gives the carbon weave look and ties everything together.
The lighter weights are much more manageable and easier to wet out.
