Have heard that most libertas bikes were or are one color, or upgrade to a two color black and white. I have a gold and silver two tone. Can anyone give me alittle info on it ??

After a quick Google search, it seems that most references to Libertas are for fairly old bicycles. You may want to ask in the Classic & Vintage section.

Libertas were imported from Europe (and probably the Far East) sometime during the 70s bike boom and didn't really last until the 80's bike boom. They came in as wide a variety of flavors as any other road bike of the time. Some are really good with Campy parts and Reynolds frames and some are barely better than a Schwinn Varsity. Follow Little Darwin's advice.
