New to buying bikes
I was in a bike shop and got offered a gt tachyon 2.0 for $520 and he told me it's worth $800 then I was in another shop got offered the Raleigh cadent fto for 470 which he says normally goes for 550 so I was wondering if anyone know what's better? Or if the gt is really worth more? And the other thing is that the bike shop with the Raleigh offers 2 years of service and the gt only offers 6 month!!! Can anyone help me?

I've just done a quick skim of the specs on each bike. They're functionally similar, and will ride about the same.
Favoring the GT: For me, the carbon fork of the Tachyon and the slightly higher spec'd 8-speed drivetrain might swing things toward the GT. Have you ridden both?
Favoring the Raleigh: For your purposes, you might want to save the money and buy the Raleigh if it feels okay to you. Two years of service will take care of every initial issue, keep the rims true and so forth for a bit, so that's good.
Jenson.com has the Tachyon for $470 right now, so the $520 isn't that great of a deal, BTW.

Test ride them, if you don't like the way they feel don't buy it...doesn't matter how much it costs. If you don't like the way it rides it ain't worth a crap...

hit as many shops in your areas as you can, ride every bike that you are interested in, buy the one that feels the best to you in your price range...there is not really going to be a significant quality difference in any of the entry level price range bikes....

Many 7 speed drive-trains use a freewheel.
Most 8 speed drive-trains use a cassette. Which I'd weakly favor.
Are both bikes 1 to 2 years old? Trade-ins,. Demos, Unsold Stock? Condition?
Don't get trapped by sale prices or discounts from MSRP. In some stores, everything is on sale.

No they will both be built for me but the main thing pushing me to the gt tachyon is the 2 years but my question is if the 2 years is worth the $200 difference that the second store claims the gt is worth while the Raleigh goes for 550

^ Your math is faulty. The MSRPs or whatever have no bearing on your decision. Only market price on the day that you purchase. That difference (according to your first post) is $50. Are the 8-speed Claris and nicer crank and nicer fork worth $50? They would be to me. Is the assurance that 2 years of routine adjustments are covered? Maybe. You must read the fine print.
Is wheel truing covered? That's a hidden expense, if not.
As to the value of the 2-year warranty, it depends how your ride, how frequently you ride, and whether you learn to maintain your own bike. For me, bike shop service has little value.
The LBS price for the Tachyon is fair if they do the assembly for you (as compared to the Jensen price). So, there's that...
