Bicycle documentaries
Looking around the internet, there doesn't seem to be many documentaries about bicycles. I thought about asking on here if anybody had a good one.
I'll start by adding this one from my native land of persia where an amazing cyclist with an inspiring philosophy has made the most out of his resources. |

Slaying the Badger...

Interesting video; I once saw an (East) Indian guy riding 'round the world on a huge ancient Indian commuter bike. He managed to network with Indian ex-pats for housing, restaurants & such.
French film-maker Claude Lelouch did a good Tour de France documentary Pour un Maillot Jaune. |

Look for:
1) A Sunday in hell 2) Chasing Legends 3) stars and watercarriers 4) Ride the Divide 5) Rising from Ashes Those are the ones I have seem. |
I watched Clean Spirit on Netflix a couple of weeks ago. I thought it was pretty good. I've also watched Ride the Divide a couple of times on Netflix. I really enjoy that one.
|
Probably the best one I've seen must be "Ride of My Life: The Story of the Bicycle".

+1 for this but man I hope Greg Lemond can get over his intense hatred of Lance one day. Not because lance doesn't deserve the hate but its not good for you to hold onto anger like that.
It's an important distinction to make, and Lemond is rightfully PO'd that you and so many others can't seem to make it, because it's not only important, but simple, and failure to understand the distinction means reform and development will be delayed and distracted by petty character assassinations of the type which Lance deployed in his great deceit and cheat. Until the starting point of the conversation shifts from Lemond's "character flaws" to the real problems with the culture of the sport, he will never receive proper redress for the injustice done to him and the sport he loves. I say, "stay mad," Greg, "and change the sport for the better. You warned us in the '90s of the abuses and corruption, but the time to make it right is nigh. Bravo!" |
Another vote for A Sunday in Hell.

This is good too! If you can find any of the Lucas Brunelle films, they document some of the craziest riding. Drinking & Racing is hard to find now, but these people are street racing. Other alleycat races he has covered are Track or Die NYC Summer Alley Cat |

Note that these two are cartoons. If you like these you should also watch 'Yowamushi Pedal' Season 1 & 2, season 2 is called 'Yowamushi Pedal Grande Road'

I am not into anime but I watched all the Yowamushi episodes.

Not that I think Lemond is perfect. He's annoying. |

I first was guessing this be the "bicycle documentaries" of those bike owners --- who document in how their bikes are (a) Ridden & (b) Maintained. On a dated basis.
Add all related receipts, invoices, $ involved --- in the documentation. |
