Rode my first event today....it was awesome!
First time riding an organized event. It was the True Grit Ride in Fort Smith, AR and I rode with my brother and my partner. We've never done an organized ride before and I didn't know what to expect. I'm hooked. It was a supported ride with break stations and it was so much fun riding with so many other people.
We only did the 35 mile ride because my partner isn't up for the longer 50, 75, or 100 mile rides. I wanted to do the 50 but he didn't want to do it. So I took my "cruiser" instead of my road bike and it was sooo much fun. We weren't the fastest, but we weren't the slowest either. And it was a great course with some gradual rises.
We are already talking about doing our next event in Little Rock later this year so maybe I have him hooked now. Maybe I can get him to ride a 50 next time.
