Need new pedals.

Hi everyone, I just sold my old bike, and my new one comes in on Saturday.

Its coming with the cheap throw away plastic pedals, and I'm looking for recommendations for a replacement set.

Needs
Under $50
- light
- flat, no clip systems
- preferably a smaller footprint ( not a fan of the big chunky mountain bike style pedals )
- little grips/teeth

They are going on my new commuter road bike.
Prefer things I can buy off amazon.

Something like this? Or too small a footprint?

If you don't like the size of MTB-style (when I was on flats, I loved my Wellgo MG-1s) look at "track" style pedals, like the Origin8 Pro Track Light, or the MKS Stream. I've got big ol' feet, so I like the profile of a larger pedal.

The Scratch pedals from nashbar are great and sound like the ticket for you

MKS, a good brand.

Suggest MKS Touring pedal or sylvan road pedal. They are inexpensive, feel smooth, wear well, can be serviced.
