Yep, that's another good deal for the price. You're having pretty good luck for hot bicycle market like Portland.

Same issues as the other Trek: needs a tuneup, pretty skinny tires, and would need a really stout lock if you want to keep it yours.

That generation of Trek carbon frames are pretty nice, and build pretty stout. By that generation, Trek had learned a lot about carbon, but still over-built them to be safe. Inspect the frame ALL OVER for cracks. Use your eyes and your fingers to feel for cracks.

That bike has nice components. You may like the bullhorns and bar-ends, and if he'll include the drops and STIs then you're set up to switch back.

Thanks Tim! I appreciate you getting back to me so quickly and in detail. Unfortunately the guy sold the bike out from underneath me. However, I grabbed another Trek for $300. Portland area is definitely having some good deals on Craigslist for bikes, that's for sure. A lot of commuters around the city. I dived for a road-bike, have taken it for about 20miles+, and so far, I love it!
