In search of longer bike roof rack fork mount
Hello,
I have a 2008 Ford Ranger with a hard shell cover that has "Pannon Products" roof racks installed (Pannon Roof Rack). Unlike in this picture, I can't change the distance between each rack. I'm stuck at 52 inches from bar to bar.
I already own a Yakima SproketRocket (SprocketRocket | Yakima) but it is just a tad bit short on the bars at 54 inches long and I can't secure the back end. My research up till now has found that 54 inches seems to be the limit on fork mount lengths
Any advice regarding other fork mounts (or really, any type of mount long enough...upright carriers, etc. are fine as well) that may be available out there?

I don't have any specific information about longer bike rails, but if I already owned one that was a tad short, I'd consider extending it, perhaps by cutting it and using a piece or pieces of aluminum channel and some bolts/nuts/screws/clamps...or extending it rearward in a similar fashion.

The bike wheel trays, as an AL linear extrusion, may be special ordered extra long, try calling Yakima HQ on the Telephone?
