2015 campy record fr caliper pivot bolt.

Hello. Just noticed that my central pivot bolt on the front brake caliper is too short. I already checked the rear entry where the long Allan nut housing goes in. I cannot install a longer nut as its recessed only about 1 inch. Going on my 2010 specialized tarmac. I do have the correct caliper on rear, the front is correct as per the shorter bolt. Any suggestions? Thank you.

Barring pics, I'm about 90%+ certain you have the front and rear calipers switched around. Longer bolt shaft and recessed nut go on the front.

Therein lies the problem, the brake caliper with the shorter pivot bolt is the rear brake, not the front

Pivot bolt or Mounting Bolt . (double pivot, It's not the same one, like a single pivot. )

very confusing as you posted both in your original question and in a later posting that the brake with the longer bolt was installed on the rear

Here's the simplified version. Front caliper pivot bolt too short. Solution- i just bought a longer pivot bolt.. solved.
Cheers.
