Nipple stuck in a tubular rim
 

In the process of rebuilding a set of wheels with tubular rims, I developed a case of fumble-fingers and managed to loose a nipple into a rim. So now it's rattling around in there, and I'm getting tired of shaking the rim and rolling it around in the hope that the offending nipple will eventually find its way out. Dose anyone out there have some method of extracting a rogue nipple that's more effective than relying on dumb luck and the law of averages? Thanks.

A drop of glue, then forget about it.
Or maybe some sticky tape through the valve hole to catch it ?

I thought I'd try holding the nozzle of my shop vac up against the rim opposite a spoke hole, and orienting the rim so the hole with the vacuum nozzle up against it was at 6 o'clock. All it took was a couple shakes, and the nipple was sucked right out of the rim. Hooray!! The whole operation took less time than it takes to describe it.

When I saw the title, the first thing I thought was "that must have been one hell of a wreck".
