Help pricing out a road bike

I've got a 2013 Cannondale Caad10 road bike I bought in late May. I only road the bike for 4.5 months, probably put 300+ miles on the bike since I've owned it.
One of my buddies I go riding with wanted to purchase my bike... As of lately we have been discussing pricing. We agreed to a price or at least I thought we agreed, but there was some miscommunication on both parts. I accepted his $850.00 offer for the bicycle without the riding shoes... I told him I throw in my shoes for $900.00, not for $850.00. So now he is re-evaluating his thoughts and doing some more research.

I've got the bike listed right now online. The bike is in good condition or at least I think it's in good condition. The bikes got aftermarket seat (sella italia),
shimano 105 crank shaft, shimano gears, shimano 105 brakes, shimano 105 wheels, shimano 105 shifter and derailleur, Lite Racing aero bars, shimano 105 pedals, etc. Pretty much shimano 105 everything.

You can look on bike blue book. Go on google and type bicycle blue book. Or Home - Used Bicycles for Sale - BicycleBlueBook.com in the search box type cannondale ccad 10 2013 and you see the vallue of your bike. Is nice bike for see the vallue of many bikes. i hope i help you.

How much good bike is your bike. I have one old cannondale R300. But i want buy newer cannondale bike.

I've read a lot of criticism about the bike blue book having some unrealistic valuations. The very few I looked at didn't match what people were asking or getting. One way to see what other people are asking for your bike is to use Ad Hunt'r - Search ALL of Craigslist? and more! and enter "Cannondale Caad10" in the search box. There are pages of listings on CL across the nation. It is pretty rare to see any listed at prices below $1K. Show that to your friend and it may change his mind.

My daddy once told me "Pull a number out of the air and make that your price. A month from now, if you sold it, the price was too low. If you still have it, the price was too high.

Seriously, you can ask other folks opinions, you can check the bicycle blue book or you can check ebay completed sales on line. But unless you can find a buyer who agrees with your research AND who has that much money, you're not much removed from pulling a number out of the air.

What did you pay for it?

My brother has been in sales his whole life and says the same thing. He's into rentals now and says, "You know how to tell if your rent is too high? Nobody lives there."

For most things, a good starting point for an asking price is 50% of MSRP when the item was new.
Then adjust up or down depending on the desirability of the item.
Ultimately, a thing is worth what someone is willing to pay for it.

Yep on a couple points - check CL but recognize most sellers are expected to lower their asking price, and the market price of used is significantly below the new price. Most sellers have overly high expectations.
