Post your bike decals/decorations.

I love my bikes but it sucks when the frame and fork get scratches and paint scuffs from normal handling. It's kinda of eye sore and somewhat upsetting. I am not affording any expensive color paint job to make it look better. Thinking it will be a better idea to apply decals or 3M color tape over the scratched spot. Also helps decorate it up nicely and add some splash of colors on a plain one color bike. Any good suggestions on good design and best adhesive material suitable?

Put clear nail polish on the scratches to keep the metal from rusting.

Look in local beauty supply stores for nail polish that matches your frame color. Touch up the scratches to keep things looking clean. No need to clutter your bike with a bunch of stickers...

There are kits of various reflective tape sizes, if safety is your goal. Check your hardware/home supply center, or an industrial catalog/web site like Granger.

I second the nail polish suggestion. If you're determined to put stickers, look into fiks and rydesafe. If you want reflective tape, google "conspicuity tape". It is the industrial strength stuff used on tractor-trailers, emergency, and construction equipment.

The LBS where I bought my new bike has "spokee" stickers like these - didn't get them right away because I didn't know how they're meant to be used. I found this pic which cleared it up for me - I'll put a bunch of them on my rims.

The LBS also had white smiley-face reflective stickers - those I did pick up right away. I'm also going to put on Yowamushi Pedal stickers designed by the author of that manga - I'm a fan of that cycling anime.

On my other bike, the "city bike", I have a bunch of generic blue and yellow reflective dots.

My new bike is mostly black - I take sticker inspiration from this black bike which is festooned with stickers.

I have a few... several. Whatever sticks to the bike goes on to cover any new scratches.

If I redo these I may use my own photographs, laminated.
