In 2009 Trek made many different models of the FX ranging in price from about $440 for the FX 7.1 to over $2700 for the FX 7.9. Is the 20 the model or the frame size? The bike is 7 years old, so it is worth much less than half its original retail price

2009 Trek 7.3 FX - BikePedia
It sold originally for about $640. After 7 years, how well it was maintained would largely determine how much it is worth now, it would have to be carefully inspected for wear. Anything over $300 would be too much, and subtract from that the cost of anything that needs replacement, be it tires, chain, cassette, brake pads, cables or any other wear item. Frame size should be fairly close to what you need
