Visiting NYC - looking for advice on best park and bike location
 

Howdy. We need to do some business in NYC one of these Mondays. We will be driving from Maine via 95. This is one of the 'series'. Our appointment is 9:30AM. In the past we drove to the city and stayed there or took the train to Penn station and stayed overnight. But the weather is getting better and

I was wondering if any current commuters or those 'in the know' could recommend a safe place to park the car and bike to the city via some kind of bike lane?

Long Island City is a good choice. It's safe, has hotels, and numerous parking garages. You can ride over the 59th St bridge into manhattan and quickly get to central park or take the pulaski into brooklyn. The 7 train is is a quick ride into grand central
