If things don't get better soon, maybe you could ask your dr. about the possibility of a steroid shot in the area, although I am certainly not a trained physician. All I know is that in some cases this treatment is used to reduce swelling and the accompanying pain . Just a thought.
Hope you're back to 100% soon! This kind of thing sure can be an aggravation.

NO NO NO not a steroid shot, you could be
banished by the UCI for medical use of a banned
substance in a non performance enhancing application
or other such nonsense.
Wabbit, take Arnica Montana along with Arnica cream
applied to klonk.

Sorry... Wabbit, I was simply thinking in terms of personal comfort, not whether or not it would put you in conflict with a bunch of rules. So if your personal home remedies include bizzarre stuff like soaking body parts in Nyquil or something...don't do that either,ok?
Geez.

DOn't worry, and I am certainly not going to get a steroid shot for heaven's sake! I have arnica cream, actually, but I've been using this stuff called traumeel, made in germany and used quite widely for sports injuries. Not major stuff like cartilage tears, but soft-tissue injuries. Anyways, I'm going to see a sports therapist soon for something else- I seem to have a bit of a problem with a sciatic nerve and I want to see what I can do with it.

Boy, you sure can get some aches and pains but seriously, what am I going to to- run? Sheaah right!

Wabbit,

I'd be careful of that German stuff. . .
look what happened to Ullrich taking German Stuff
as for steroids and banishing etc.
it was just a little tongue in cheek!
