Glad there's a cut-off date for the poll so it won't just go on and on and on and on and on and on................................................................................

it's a shame you don't have a choice like the one below.

<> are probably wondering why I don't dress, etc. like they do.

This may rankle some here, but a generation or two back bicycling used to attract free-spirited types, who didn't care what other people did or thought, and likewise didn't care that mainstream folks thought they were oddballs. Since they didn't care what was in or out, they also didn't care what fellow outsiders did or thought.

These days bicycling is in, and attracting the very same types that folks used to try to avoid.

People who spend less money or time than me aren't committed or hardcore enough.
People who spend more money or time than me are insane.
People who spend money and time on different things than me are deluded or mentally deficient.

People who don't ride/dress/groom like I do....
...are riding/dressing/grooming as they see fit, as do I for myself.

If someone doesn't like what I'm wearing or the type of bike I'm riding, it's not going to hurt my feelings one bit. I'm not some modern day entitled snowflake whose feelings get hurt if someone even looks at me the wrong way. LOL!!

Absolutely. I saw some nice tartan breeches Scotland Shop Tartan Gifts and Accessories that, combined with some argyle or silk hosiery, would be just the thing for my sunday jaunts. I want to see the renegades out there!

The great thing about riding the beach is I really could give a crap what people think about how I dress and they all treat me like a friend whether they're a millennial stoner, old time clammer, drifter, beachcomber, drunk, firewood cutter, cop, surfer, beach fisher, sand castle builder, kid with a kite, drug dealer, RC fanatic, tourista, Subie driving hipster. Ok, the Subie driving smug millennial hipsters can go suck it.

Clothing is a complete and utter waste of money. If I could get away with it, I would wear battleship grey overalls with nothing else everywhere. I do like to be clean, showering everyday.

Nobody dresses like I do. If I see them I shall attack at once. For they are an interloper. Destined to placed in a shallow grave in the woods. Be warned.

That's too funny, because I came to the same basic conclusion and wear gray or black fatigue pants and a gray sweatshirt or t-shirt pretty much all the time. It is my "work uniform," my shopping outfit, my travel attire ... I never need to worry about what to wear or what clothes to buy or pack.

That daily showering though ... that is an intriguing idea.
