Need suggestions for a new bike

Hello All,

Could you please help me decide on which bike to buy between these two:

Forge Breva Men's Fitness - 28" Bike
Forge Breva Men's Fitness - 28" Bike : Target

Men's Sport Tour Bike
Men's Sport Tour Bike | L.L.Bean

Note: I have had few bikes mostly inexpensive ones. I'm thinking to get a little upgraded version for me.

Thanks in Advance
GP

Do yourself a favor and don't get a "toy store" bike.

Find a real bicycle shop and checkout the Trek FX. The 7.2 is in your price range and if you have a few extra dollars get the 7.3.

Thanks for all the great feedback. Now that, my mind is going on a whirl, what number should I be looking for me to get a decent road/hybrid bike and your suggestions for a bike is greatly appreciated.

My plan is to use the bicycle for:
1. Riding around town
2. Exercise and
3. Eventually longer rides and commuting to work(20 miles)

Since you probably won't be riding to work in a full kit or entering into any races I'd suggest a hybrid model such as the Trek FX mentioned earlier.

If you're not opposed to used, I see there is a swap meet coming up: Great Maine Bike Swaps: Orono and Portland, Maine*- Bicycle Coalition of Maine
But if you don't know what to look for, you're better off going to a retail shop.
