it started with a kiss . . .
I saw her for the first time at a friend's house. The first time we were introduced, I took her home. And she stayed.
Old enough to matter, not young enough to care; cute but ordinary; a little worn, but not in a way though would indicate abuse. She was just hot enough to draw attention but wouldn't turn heads; she sported a Belgian double 14-28 2x5.
The first time I met her, she was inappropriately and inconveniently hung upside down. She was looking pretty sad; a little torn apart even. Frame-off kind of girl. It started with a kiss . . .

While she was hanging upside down...Did you happen to ask her her name?

that you know more about --- and know more of you (saddle, derailleur adj, seatpost adj, etc).
Will pay you off more -- in the long run.
As your bike won't argue with you, as so long that you take care of it.
Females (or any humans) are less assuring, and too much demanding. More Costly.
Drops of lube are a disposal, compared to the $ of a fast-food meal. No time charge/loss involved, etc.

The good ones are hard to find. However sometimes it's just meant to be.
Also hoping it's not a version of mechaphilia.

Pics needed to determine if your poetic description is justified. Altho any bike that floats 'yer boat is fine by me.
Maybe you need to show it in C&V. Always good advice for bringing them back to good condition.

I like the story, but I don't get the "kiss" part. I get that you're anthropomorphizing your bicycle, and I get how she was ridden hard and put away wet, but I don't see any corroboration involving a kiss. How did it start with a kiss?

Either it had something to do with an old rock band with painted faces, or he was keeping it simple stupid.
