Clean paint off of dropouts?
Someone brought a new bike into the shop today and it still had paint on the rear dropouts. I thought he should clean said dropouts with a razor blade to get the paint off and allow the axle nuts to stick better (single speed). Am I correct? I've just never seen an old bike with painted flats on the dropouts...

I wouldn't touch it. The customer doesn't seem to care that he painted parts that generally don't get painted. And if you accidentally scar his paint elsewhere it's your fault. Just try to bolt his wheel back in the same place it was at before so you don't have to risk having a dumb discussion about paint in silly places.
