Hi, my 45 year old Bottecchia road bike that is a pain now given I don't like to have to lean forward to ride it. Its getting a bit long in the tooth with the shifters. I recently rode a Giant Cypress with front shocks and one on the seat (more or less a "comfort", bike), and loved it. It was $446.00 at the local shop. My question is, "are there better bikes for the price and/or quality"? If so, would appreciate any feedback. Iam very handy, and can assemble/adjust a bike if needed, so maybe I should order online for a better bike at a lower cost? What do you people think? Thank you in advance!

I just sold a 2014 Giant Cypress (without shocks on the front), for $150. I frankly wasn't all that impressed with the bike, apart from not really liking the upright geometry. I think you can probably do better for that money, especially if you do used or online.
