being offered this bicycle on sale.
 
Hello guys im a noob at bicycles and i have just decided to get a bicycle for everyday use. I would cycle around 20km on it everyday.

I've been offered this bike to buy at 400 sgd which is around 295 usd. It is also a second hand bike

The bicycle specs are as follows:

Bicycles, like shoes, come in sizes. The best bike for you will be one that fits you and your intended riding style. I have no way of knowing either. What makes you think that this is the right one?

In my opinion this bike is built for speed. correct me if im wrong but that is what im going for.

Also what should i look out for when buyin a second hand bike? what parts should i check?

It's a MTB so not built for speed on the road.

Worn or old tires, wheels straight, dents in the frame, does the wheel or crank wobble, is the front fork rock solid in the head tube? Shark teeth on sprockets.
