Help! Newbie Q: Trek 2008 Fx 7.6 vs New 7.3

Hi, I'm looking to get back into biking, mostly just for on road, paths weekend rides or city commute. Want a Fx 7.2 or 7.3. Having a hard time finding on craigslist in 15". I found a 2008 7.6, they say very good condition for 300. Wondering if it's worth the hour ride to look, even if in great condition, or am I better off waiting or even getting new 7.2?

I would say that it is well worth going to look at it. If it is as nice as claimed and the right size it would be a lovely bike

The bluebook lists it as less. Is that the standard going rate?
