Indoor Bike Trainer Stand?
Anyone ever try those things that transform your bike into an indoor exercise bike? Do they work well?

I've been using a fluid trainer for about 13 years. Yes, it works well.
I have an older version of this:

It's been quiet and stable and durable for 13 years. I've hauled it to where I've lived around Canada, and also shipped it here to Australia when I moved.
Of course, I can't comment on the newer version (seen in photo). Who knows how they might have changed in 13 years. But the one I got has been good.

yeah have an old turbotrainer since 1990 - it's loud, use it as a built stand, especially for wrapping bars.
I have a Mag trainer which is simplier and quieter.
They're pretty tough on you because you have no convective cooling as you do when you ride.

If your rear wheel has a standard quick release, then yes it's easy to install and takes less than a minute. I have this one and would highly recommend (and don't forget a front block and rubber matt):

They work if you use them. I get so bored that I only use mine 3 or 4 times a winter. I'd sell it but it functions as a great work stand for doing adjustments etc.
