looking to upgrade bike lock

Right now all I have is a cable lock, however I'm looking for something a bit more secure as I'm starting to leave my bike overnight.

I'll probably continue to use the cable when I'm leaving the bike for a few minutes in a relatively safe location (grocery store etc)

Recently I have started using the bike while doing multi day backpack trips on the superior hiking trail in northern minnesota. I'll stage the bike at a rack at a state park that the trail passes through and use it to return to my car after I'm done with a one way hike. Although all of the parks are relatively safe, I would like something more secure since I'm usually leaving the bike for a few days.

Convenience of carrying is more important than having absolute security and having some kind of convenient way of carrying on the frame would be nice.

Any recommendations?

I Own An Abus Granit Bordo Folding Lock.

I would seek out an indoor caretaker for your Bike,
If left unattended, Although Locked, It can still Be stripped.

Be there in the park and lock the bike to something near by your tent is my suggestion.

I have had someone start stripping my Locked bike, in the time it took me to go into a public Loo To Pee.
