this is strange
Hey!
I was looking some interesting youtube videos (mostly how to set dual colors handlebar tape and other not bad customizatons) when that video pop out. That guy wrapped his hadlebar with the air chamber tube , i never done before and i'm not interested to do but thaty is really practical or confy? whats the pros? is quite funny that dude. |
I used old tubes for bar comfort when touring.
Put the New bar tape on top on the tube. |
I have been wrapping my bars with old inner tubes for a long time. They are great for a bike which might get wet, they last, they are cheap ... in fact, free. When tubes are too patched or torn I throw them in a bucket and use them for all kinds of stuff.
One benefit is that the tubes stick pretty well ... i don't have to tuck the ends by the plug, I just wrap them really tight and they stay put. Up at the clamp, I tuck one end of the tube under a wrap of tube and viola ... no tape needed. When I want to change the bars or whatever, I just unwrap ... and rewrap later. I usually split the tube so it isn't so thick, and double-wrap the parts where I want more padding. I don't wear one of those stupid wigs when I do it though. |
Sounds pretty good! def i need to test it
