Yes they rode Trek Y-33's with Spin Rev Rocks mags. No they did not do all those fancy tricks themselves. They slid alot but Hans Rey was one of the riders used to do the tricks. They also contracted someoneelse but I cannot remember his name at this time.

Actually, my husband was one of the producers and I have one of these bikes at home. It is fro Season 1. It has been hanging in the garage since the end of the season. I was thinking of selling it as a piece of memorabilia.

How random, and what an archaeology dig....

mtbikingrulz 06-20-15 04:40 AM

I'll definitely buy it!

Martine,

If you still have it for sale, I would gladly buy it. I can pick it up (if you're in the LA area). Please message me!

Thanks!

I Just starting watching this show. Very ridiculous. But entertaining, what a way to travel on time.

jferrell911 06-13-18 05:08 PM

The show may be shallow and cheesie, but as an IPMBA trained officer, the trips and front wheel take downs are standard training.

TrojanHorse 06-13-18 05:33 PM

Good grief, this thread has the most one-post zombies of all time. Must be a record. 17 years!

mtbikingrulz 06-14-18 01:23 AM

Heck yeah!

Revive away! The show may have been a bit cheesy, but it was cool to me and was a big influence on me for mountain biking, which I still do today! And yes, I’m still looking for one of the show bikes, so if anyone has one, let me know please! Thanks!

I spent a day on the set once, I was friends with the technical director and got to meet the shows creator and actors. They were all really nice folks.

Jferrell911,

I just got back from the conference in St Louis; do you still attend any IPMBA functions?

No, I retired in 2009 but I am still an active cyclist. I saw pictures and video from St.Louis, what an impressive turnout. Thanks for the reply, be safe and watch your six.

Look at the post histories and join dates of the new members who posted in this thread, especially the ones who bumped it. Not hard to figure out..
