Show Me Your Powder Coated Bike...
I'd be interested in seeing powder coated bikes.
Please post.

I actually picked this Centurian Mixte up from someone's outgoing trash. It was silver with chrome tipped forks, but the chrome was in really bad shape. Had it powder coated a nice shade of blue and built it up with some pretty decent parts, mostly from the parts bin. I think it came out pretty nice, and I ended up selling it for a small profit.

^^That's rad. Looking at the bottom bracket face and threads I can tell that whomever did the coating did a righteous job. Mine is not that clean.

@CV-6, the red finishing tape on the bars is a super nice touch.
The chrome accent where the seat stay tacks to the seat tube and the chrome cable clamps really add class on the top bike.
Both are well done. Congratulations.
Did you have the rims coated?

I wonder how it would look candy apple red. I'd probably have passed away if it was

Question to those that have powder coated a frame;
Does the frame have to be bare metal?
Who removes the factory paint (AL frame)?
Thanks.

I was hoping you would post this.
The angles of the bar echo the level top tube and straight fork blades... the black parts are perfectly balanced by the volume and intensity of the yellow frame... just enough silver for seasoning... That bike is righteous right there.
What is this color which we are blessed to see? May we know the name?

Thanks. It's like your blue bike. Blunt. No logos. No stripes. Let the color and the shine do the talking. It's just an RAL fluorescent yellow with no name. But in real life it looks more halfway to green, which makes it a true Chartreuse.
I've started a "thing" with all my bikes. All fasteners must be silver!!! No painted stuff. No anodized stuff. No matchy-matchy stuff. Nut's and bolts are metal workhorses and should not be pretty colors. That doesn't mean they shouldn't be handsome. So I try to do every thing in stainless steel or chrome plated. I even replaced the matching black chainring bolts with stainless steel. So that's my silly stupid theme thing. I've taken it all the way to spokes and nipples. Spokes are long threaded bolts and nipples are nuts. They "Fasten" the rim to the hub. Because of their role as, and title of, "fastener", they must therefore also be silver. Always. Even on black rim/hub combos.
Until a few years from now when my mood changes.
