Those take me back to the Soviet days, very robust, no nonsense.

For those of us not so handy there is the "Clug" Get CLUG We use them, they work great.

I went with the cheapo Amazon option

So far I'm happy with them! Going to pick up a couple more. But props to you for going DIY.

I wouldn't use the CLUG in an earthquake prone city like SF if I were you, I doubt it would secure the bike sufficiently. I'd use one that hooks right around the wheel.

I was referring to their engineering skills. Ungainly, unsightly, but functional and robust. Ar you going to grind the welds and paint the racks, or is that the finished product?

Home made is good,,,,,

looks great for storage!

For bike repair, I recently made a wall mount rack using two heavy duty closet brackets with pole hooks:

It is indeed twice as cool!!! But not all of us are so handy. You should "hinge" it so you can fold it up, and then put it on kickstarter!

Nice! I could use something like that at home. Time to see what the condo association thinks about angle grinders and welders....

Recently, someone posted a vid of a guy riding a bike on a handrail at what appeared to be hundreds of feet off the ground. I called it "unimpressive, stupid and dangerous." I further stated that if that same guy was to somehow, someway contribute something meaningful I'd be far more impressed. THIS is what I meant. We're all far better served, better entertained, and better off as human beings.

Praise for your work! As an American, I think our tastes lean more toward a clean up and painted finish, but your work is something to be proud of. I'd be happy to see more posts like this than idiots pulling off dangerous, meaningless stunts.
