What's it worth? CycleOps Magneto trainer

I'm looking to buy a bike trainer to help me get in some exercise through this cold Wisconsin winter.
I found a CycleOps Magneto trainer that is used but looks virtually new with original box and paperwork...not a scratch on it and owner says it only has 200 or so miles on it. He says it's a "few years old" but it is the same style as the new ones as far as I can tell.
He wants $175. It's for sale locally. I'm on a budget and was hoping to keep it closer to $100, but this is not necessarily out of my price range.
Is that a good price? Is this trainer a good unit?
Thanks for any help/advice and Merry Christmas!

It depends. It could be a screaming deal at his price.

Nashbar has some good deals on fluid trainers, which I like better than magnetic. And Elite is a very good brand.
Nashbar - Welcome!

Thanks for the replies!
I'm going to take a look at Nashbar's site for now and try to learn more.
