Whatever design you choose, I recommend using drywall screws and an electric or cordless drill with a Phillips head driver bit, instead of nails and hammer. Easy to take apart and do over, it will stay more securely and tightly together.

Drywall screws are light duty designed for use with drywall. There are plenty of other more suitable fasteners at your local ace, true value, BORG or lowes.

agreed - drywall screws are pretty flimsy for anything structural. Deck screws are stouter, come in a wide range of lengths, just as easy to install/remove and are usually rustproofed, so good for living in a garage or getting sweat-splashed

Wasn't the OP killed in a home roller accident in 2018 ?

I heard he choked to death on someone else's vomit, but that has never confirmed.
