I heard south of the border the pee in Lone Star bottles and mail them back north.
It may not be true.

Fred shops for groceries at IGA and gets coupons.
Faux-Fred gets boxed meal components from BlueApron delivered and gets bonus airline miles on his Titanium-card.

Fred doesn't care what you think about his bike.
Faux-Fred desperately does, with a slide show.

Beyond the range of most Freds. Monk fish poached in bitter garlic sauce with a bit of pain rustique.

Lovely!
Your previous post on the Provencal preparation of veal kidneys in Dijon cream sauce is a reminder of rustic traditional excellence that can be prepared at home.

Fred may struggle for the $ to feed him/herself and family but from that has arisen the great Cuisines of all cultures.
Low & Slow on cheap cuts = Delicious. Fred is no fool, if frugal.
Real Fred cooks at home to produce good food that his/her grandmother would recognize.

Faux-Fred can't Cook (climb, sprint or time trial) and orders out or relies on Yelp reviews by the equally incapable on where to badly dine out.

That broke my brain. I think I'll try it, though.

I could see a sandbagger doing that.

I've tried from the other direction, as a Fred not a skilled racer, but I don't have the equipment to really pull it off. The best I can bring off is a Fred pretending to be a Poser that is pretending to be a Fred, which is actually true. When you think about it.

So you have met the Captain too, my favorite quote from him delivered straight-faced in a booming tone:

"Those racers aren't so Fast.
If I didn't spend so much time building the practice I'd kick their a_ses."
