Vancouver B.C. bike shops

I'm going to Vancouver B.C. (Burnaby) this weekend (from Portland, OR) for a hockey tournament. I won't be bringing my bike, but I will have time to do some shopping/browsing. Can anyone recommend good bike shops up there? Does any bike item tend to be less expensive in Canada?
Thanks in advance. Looking forward to going back to the mother country.

Bike parts are more expensive here in general. Parts come through norco heavily raising the price. I buy my stuff from the states direct or through a cdn distributor bypassing Norco and the other distro, saving lots of money

What type of riding do you like. Shops I love to visit are old cove in deep cove, john henry and dizzy

Thanks, I'll check those out.
I mostly do road biking at the moment. Getting back into it after a long absence.

Go to La Bicicletta on Broadway near Cambie for road stuff. They're the best.

Go to Cheapskates on Dunbar at 16th for great used bike deals. It's a consignment shop and has just about anything (but stock switches around on whatever people bring in)

Second La Bicicletta.

High drool factor is Campione Cycles on 8th avenue at Burrard. All the HIGH END, bling parts and bikes.

Can't actually think of any good road oriented shops out in Burnaby.

Possibly there may be in Coquitlam, I'll ask some friends and post if there are any names out there.
