I assume you're looking for 2 equipment and 2 clothing companies?
Trek, Spesh, Assos and Rapha, if you consider NF and Patagonia 'high end'; if you're just talking about their ubiquitousness then probably Pearl Izumi and Castelli.

I'd go more with a question of relating bike brands to auto makers:
Ferrari, Lambo, Mercedes, BMW, Audi, Jaguar, Ford, Hyundai, Kia?

If you roll it all into one, gotta be Specialized.

Bikes, parts, drivetrain, wheels, saddles, shoes, helmets, clothing, computers, etc...

Lot of their house brand stuff is good stuff, not just crap they make to have their name on stuff.

Hardware:
As Apple is image 1st, function 2nd - Designed in USA made in China. So frames - Specalized. Components - Campy
As MSFT is biggest and functional, made in USA - I'd Say Shimano

Frames - Giant. More like Exon. They make Trek. It is different.

Apparel - too many to list. There is no good map.

QBP might be similar to the Apple of 10 years ago, coming up with new ideas and tossing them into the market. The difference is QBP brands things as Surly and Salsa instead of using their own name on everything like Apple.

One thing is for sure, Cervelo is not the Apple of the bike world. Their bikes aren't beautiful (you'll hear "fugly" used a lot to describe them), and it's not just hype to say they're excellent bikes.

Microsoft = Trek. Works OK, reasonably priced, everything is standard, everyone has one. Offers nothing with any real taste. Also, bought tons of other more hip brands, stole their technology and utterly destroyed them over the years.

Apple = Specialized. Kind of pricey for what you get but nicely designed and works pretty well. Also, run by ultra annoying lawsuit-happy "think different" types with beards that are actually hardnosed capitalists.

North Face = Bontrager. used to produce innovative, top quality, cost-no-object stuff for hard core enthusiasts. Then went through a corporate buyout, became a ubiquitous sub-brand and can now be spotted being bought cheaply for kids.

Patagonia = Pinarello - Used to be hand made by artisans to the highest quality and sold to the cognoscenti. Now pumping out good quality but relatively standard stuff in subcontracted factories like every other brand. Unlike Bontrager and North Face, weirdly retains a cult-like following and charges absurd premiums to people who remember the good ol' days.
