I was surprised by how little layering I needed this winter when the temp dropped into the 20s in Texas for a few days. On a couple of rides I wore a long sleeve baselayer T under a Nike Dri-Fit hoodie, with one of those Saran-wrap-thin Pearl Izumi windbreakers on top. And I felt overdressed after warming up for 15 minutes.

Then the weather warmed up again to springlike temps and I felt chilled wearing pretty much the same stuff the other night when it dipped into the high 40s. Hard to get properly acclimated to winter here in Texas.

I sent mine back, they tested it and agreed it leaked, then credited me a new jacket. I then sold that online for a discount. Bought another version, but only had it out in the rain once.

Agreed on Frog Togs. One set disintegrated, and the other leaked badly.

Best to call SP to talk with their experts to find out what they would recommend for you.
