Instant bike shop
So...this happened. Gotta say the Cannondale CAADX (Ultegra) is the workhorse. Love it. The Specialized Allez Sport (Ultegra) is fast and scary. I am looking forward to getting the old CrMo Allez (Suntour GPX) on the road for a spin. In the background is a Trek 7200 I am converting to a shopper/commuter. Waiting in the wings is a very old Raleigh Grand Prix (LONG history on this bike) I want to restore.

I'm jealous. My three bikes huddle side by side like horses in an un-heated, un-airconditioned shed. When I want to work on them I walk them over to the covered patio in the warmer months, or in the colder months I have to pull the car out of the garage and walk the bikes in from the shed. However my current situation is still better than what I had to deal with before I was a home owner.

Current project nearly completed. Time to ride
Shakeout ride. No wombats were harmed, but I need to remember to secure the rear wheel quick release for riding....
Handlebars and brake levers need adjustment. Surprisingly the indexing held up before the rear wheel seized under the brake assembly. That's the nettlesome issue. Try as I might, I don't have a gnat's ass of clearance between the brake assembly and the rear tire. I have 700 x 23C's on the original Wolber GTX rims....I rode this bike 1000s of miles over the years and now I can't get clearance?

Bring on the warm days. This riding in the cold stuff is getting old
