Are these tires interchangeable?
 

Wondering if yall could help me with a quick beginner question.

I ordered a pair of 700x28 Panaracer Pasela tires from Niagra through Amazon. I received two tires with tags saying 700x28, except the rim on one of the tires says 27x1 while the other says 700x28 and looks to be slightly bigger to my eye. Picture attached for clarification

Are these equivalent? Or should I be contacting the shop for a refund?

27x1 (25x630) is NOT the same as 700x28 (28x622.)

Not even close. Niagra is going to put themselves out of business if they keep this up. I'm still waiting for backordered parts from last Winter.

Can't see the labels in that picture all that well, but no, they are not the same. Call Niagara and get an exchange.

In Niagara's defense, this was a Pasela screw up.

Looks like someone (at Panaracer?) put the wrong paper tag on a tire.

27" and 700c tires are not interchangeable. The bead on a 27" tire is 8 mm larger in diameter. You'll have to exchange the 27" tire.
