90's Mavic Assist Plea

I have a set of mavic cosmic wheels circa 1995 - The hub body has eight splines equally distant from one another. At first I thought UNIGLIDE SPECIAL DURA ACE - NOPE ----ANYBODY KNOW OF SPECIAL MAVIC ONLY MAVIC HUB BODY? ANY MAVIC GURUS OUT THERE? WHO IS THE GOTO GUY IN THE STATES FOR INFO OR REFURB OF THESE?
THANKS AHEAD OF TIME FOR ANY AND ALL HELP THAT YOU ALL CAN PROVIDE A NEWBIE

Does one of the splines have a notch on it? Sounds like a Campagnolo freehub. Mavic cassettes used Shimano compatible freehubs.

All splines are equal exactly like uniglide except for the fact that there is only 8?!?

Then it is probably an 8 speed Campagnolo freehub, they had 8 equal size splines. For 9-11 speed there is a notch
