Hello. Got into building and riding bmx freestyle bikes for the last 4 years. Been stumbling on mountain bike, road bikes and cruisers that people just give me and I fix them up. Latest project is a 50s Sunshine balloon cruiser.

get ten or whatever minimum posts as soon as possible and then post pics of your bikes so we can tell you in detail how you are doing everything differently than we would and are thus wrong.

This is a site which has a 27-page thread called "We will yell at you."

So ... . give us something to yell about, please.

Oh, and most of us hate variety. I don't know what Sunshine balloon is ... therefore I don't like it. Post pics, i will tell you why.

Fixing bikes is fun. We will find something about it to criticize though. Trust me.

I will start by yelling at you for not posting pictures yet. (I know you can't yet. I didn't say any of this was rational.)

You sound like you're the perfect candidate for the C&V (Classic & Vintage) forum. I'd get myself thither post haste because you will find it not only enjoyable and edifying, but because it is the sanest place on this site (i.e., the ratio of useful information to pure BS--fake news; alternative facts; whatever--is the greatest; the puerile conflicts and pomposities are minimal).

At some point you may want to put a location in your profile to get better answers regarding market values which are dependent on localities.
