Canyon Bikes

Whats the deal with distribution in the US anyone know? I was interested in getting a Fat bike next year and really like the Dude model.

Anyone have any insight into the brand and their distribution in the US?

A buddy decided he wanted one when buying a MTB, and spent a couple weeks calling around trying to source it. He failed, before giving up and buying a Specialized. Supposedly they are coming sometime this year, so if you are planning on buying next year they may show up before then: https://www.canyon.com/en-us/

Lots of other brands* also sell fat bikes Why just that brand?

MY LBS has at least 2.. Brands (actually several)

* OEM Factories make multiple brands for various brand distributors.

(Here, its more a MTB seller, touring cyclist services, due to locale)

....

your LBS has two Canyons?

I like the spec of the bike, the geometry of the bike etc, thats why I would want one. But I would need to see one first and sit on it ride it before I commit.

They are supposed to arrive Q3 of this year but I wouldn't count on it...issue w/US distribution has delayed them several times. I assume that if you know someone over seas, you could have it delivered to them and ship?

thanks for the info...I don't know anyone overseas I could have it shipped unfortunately! Pathetic I know!

I can wait until Fall and see what happens..My LBS shop also said when they do come here we may not get the full range of bikes, so Fat bikes may not be on that list they may introduce just road first-although Fatbikes is a growing segment here so I would imagine they'd want those intro'd. We just have to wait I guess.

I was planning to wait also but decided to pull the trigger before this season. I am still interested but w/how things have played out to-date...it could be awhile. I am hopeful that when they do end up working out the distribution kinks that the AEROAD is included!

Yeah I an waiting to hear back from Canyon, if they give me any information I will report back for you. I specifically asked what products they planned to bring over. I am curious though and wonder if they are building a plant here in the US for manufacture or if they are just going to distribute here.

You don't give your location, so I just tell you about where I live, my state. FWIW...

both are cities with big bike use.
