LaPierre bicycle age?

I recently bought a used LaPierre road bike on E-Bay but the seller had no idea how old it is. I tried reaching out to LaPierre but haven't heard anything from them. It is not in any of their recent catalogs.

The decals have the following:
World customized racing series
Xpertcycle Cannes
Alu SL on the frame
LaPierre lite carbon series fork

There is what appears to be a serial number stamped on the bottom bracket - h4h020
It has Campy Centaur components (the dealer replaced the rear derailleur with a Campy Veloce)
and Mavick rims which I have recently replaced

If anybody has any idea what year this may be I would appreciate the info.

Lapierre doesn't typically spec Campagnolo components on their bikes. In fact, I have only ever seen one Lapierre equipped with Campy, and that is because the owner removed the Shimano components that it came with and had it rebuilt with a Chorus groupset. So, your bike was either built up from a bare frame, or it was stripped and rebuilt with the components that are on it now. The only information you may get from Lapierre is the date of manufacture of the frame. I worked for a company that was distributing Lapierre bikes into Canada a few years ago and I never saw any Campagnolo equipped factory bikes

Thanks for the update. So somebody along the way switched it all up. Which is ok with me. I am just curious as to the age of the frame, not that it's a big deal. But it's my first "modern" bike after riding a 1973 Schwinn Paramount touring bike for the past 31 years and I was just curious how "modern" I got to be. I'm loving it, especially in the hills.

Have any idea of who I should contact to find out when it was manufactured?

Thanks again for the quick reply.

If the bike was built from a bare frame, nothing was switched up. Lapierre is the source for a date of manufacture of the frame. When we first started importing Lapierre bikes, they were assembled in France, but a year later they were being assembled in Taiwan. Either way, the frames were built in Asia, not sure where. Lapierre is the largest bike company in France, they are very professional in the way they do business. Contact them for information about your frame, that is likely the only part of your bike that they had any part in
