Burley Trailers
 

Hoping to get some opinions on a Burley bike trailer Travoy or Nomad it would mainly be used in the city for groceries and other stuff and my area has really high bike theft so im not sure which would be the best investment the travoy I could take into the store with me but seems like it could be strange to pull or the nomad looks more normal in a city than the travoy but its a extra thing to lock up when the racks are tiny

Burley trailers are expensive, but very nice. You really can't go wrong with any of their trailers if you have the money to spend on them.

Around here, nobody seems to mess with my bike trailer, although I suppose there is a first time for everything. I've had a few bike lights stolen. I've seen people lock up the trailers with a really long cable lock. I do several stops in a day, but there are some things I won't leave in a trailer including computers.

I'm not sure how stores would react to taking them inside. If they're relatively empty, and clean, then they might not care. I presume the Travoy would be easy to take inside.

Another option might be to look at a trailer + stroller attachment.

I have a nomad and run a 6' cable looped to the frame tube and feed it out under the yellow flap to the U lock that secures my bike. If your really worried you could use a longer cable and run it through the wheels too.

Taking a trailer into a store seems like it'd be too cumbersome. When locking up my trailer I just use a cable lock. Never had an issue.

I have a Nomad.....but never had the inclination to take it into a store.
