Wahoo Kickr skewer problem...
 

I bought a used Wahoo Kickr Power Trainer. I've run into a road block trying to get it setup. The little 130/135mm axle adapter has an inside radius that is simply too small for any skewer to fit through. If the axle adapter were a go/no go gauge, The 3 skewers Ive tried are a no go. I can get them through about an inch or two, but the skewers or adapter must have a slight taper that doesn't allow to fit any further.. I contacted Wahoo and they told me there is nothing proprietary or specific about the skewer. The only thing they said is to make sure its a trainer specific skewer, which honestly shouldn't matter much in this case, being a direct drive trainer and all.

This is a totally ridiculous and silly issue thats keeping me from using the thing.. Any suggestions?

the inside hole is too small? I would drill it out. I wonder if they missed a step while building it. Did you buy it direct from them?

I don't have the adapter, but I have horizontal drops and I had to put a closed-cam QR on mine because my bike kept falling off the trainer.

My trainer came with an open cam skewer, that one looks like the cheapest possible skewer they could find.

Can you post a pic? I have a Kickr , and have no problem at all. I flip that adapter back and forth on the regular to go between my road and mountain bikes.

does the adapter come standard with the trainer?

Okay guys, I found a skewer that works. Its a cheap titanium skewer from China. The other 3 skewers I tried were all Shimano brand, none of them work. The Chinese skewer fits through with zero resistance. Im astonished that nobody else has reported this problem with their Shimano skewers and the Kickr...

Still not sure you have a real problem. My Kickr lever just closes and grabs the skewer at both sides of the bike. If the skewer is on the bike securely, the bike goes on the Kickr securely.

I'm using the Kicker direct drive trainer. Nothing clamps onto the skewers. The problem was the skewer would not fit all the way through the unit unless it's non-shimano.
