What Trek downhill model is this? Help

Hi I am new to this forum and am looking for some help and advise. I found this Trek downhill full suspension bike for sale locally however the buyer does not know the model. Apparently it has been painted as this is not the original color but I cannot find the model online anywhere no matter how much I searched...can anyone identify this model?

Not sure of the model, but if that's a SunTour XCT fork, there was a recall. May not affect this bike. Get a SN, call Trek customer support, they can probably tell you the model and if the recall affects that bike. And if it doesn't, they probablyh can tell you the model name.

As Wizard said above...get the bike's serial number. It should be on the bottom of the bottom bracket (stamped into the metal). Post it here, and there will likely be folks who can tell you lots about the bike.

I am not entirely convinced that it is a Trek frame. Repainted, and anyone can order any decals they want on eBay. I don't see any frames like that with the Trek name on it. Honestly, it looks like maybe an older Santa Cruz Heckler if you ask me.
