Right now I'm riding about 1.5 hrs sometimes once & sometimes 2x per day, but i could charge it in between.

1) don't have to re-position the bike to video what you want to (such as someone causing problems from a car next to you).

2) the camera is prominent and I think it is a deterrent to some jerks -- who may not wish to star on your YouTube channel.

3) don't have to take time to remove it from your handlebars when you park your bike in public.

As for charging, I plug it in at work a couple times a week. Recently acquired a second GoPro and a seat rail mount so may begin filming the cars behind.

.

These top two are reasons why i want a camera and if there ever is an accident, the evidence could be invaluable.

So far the ION Lite with 3hrs battery and the Contour Roam with 4.5hrs battery seem to be the top contenders. I really like the Go Pro, but with the high price and short battery life, it doesn't seem to fit what my needs are at this time. It is probably the best action cam though.
